18 suspected cases of coronavirus identified in Nigeria – NCDC

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that a total of eighteen suspected coronavirus cases have been identified in Nigeria.

In NCDC’s 5th national situation report on coronavirus, it is revealed that there is no new confirmed case of the deadly disease in Nigeria. The 18 suspected cases of the virus, identified by the NCDC in Lagos, Ogun, Kano and Abuja, are the latest figure as of March 4, 2020.

According to reports, 78 people out of the total 148 passengers that where onboard same flight with the Italian coronavirus patient, have been interviewed. 

The report added; 

“The confirmed case is clinically and psychologically stable at the designated treatment facility for COVID-19 at the Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH), Yaba, Lagos.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level Three, continues to coordinate the national response activities.”
