40-year-old man dies in hotel after taking suspected sex enhancement drug (photos)

A 40-year-old man, identified as Paul Okwudili, reportedly died in Plus View Hotel Onitsha, Anambra state over the weekend after taking suspected sex enhancement drugs.

SP Haruna Mohammed, the Anambra state police command public relations officer in a statement says the manager of the hotel reported the incident at the Central Police Station, Onitsha that the deceased who is a resident of Ogboliolosi, off Awka Road, Inland town Onitsha, took a lady to the hotel and lodged. Few minutes later, the lady rushed out shouting for help and the hotel management went to the room and saw the man gasping for air. They rushed him to St Charles Boromeo hospital Onitsha for medical attention where the doctors on duty pronounced him death on arrival.

Police detectives attached to CPS Onitsha visited the scene of the incident and photographs of the victim was obtained. No marks of violence was seen on the body of the deceased but some drugs suspected to be sex enhancement, were seen in the room.

The corpse of the deceased has since been deposited at the hospital mortuary for autopsy and the lady has been arrested for questioning, Haruna added.
