The Benue State Government has revealed it has arrested 400 Fulani herdsmen for disobeying the state’s anti open grazing law.
The Benue state government also seized over 600 cows belonging to the herdsmen.
Governor Samuel Ortom, who disclosed this in Makurdi, ordered his guards to seize any cow seen openly grazing in any part of the state. He gave the directive while inspecting seized cows at the quarantine unit of the state ministry of agriculture.
