The death body of a missing girl, identified as Rosemary Chinyere Nnachi, was found floating in a river at Nnodo community, in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.
The deceased child went missing on Saturday, December 12, 2020 when she attended an end of the year event with her parents at a club in Nnoro community.
According to reports, her body was found two days later floating in a stream far from the club. The girl’s parents are said to be members of the club.
“The child disappeared suddenly. Nobody knew where she went to and they started looking for her.” said a family source.
A search party was formed to help find the little girl but all efforts to find her were unsuccessful. A missing person report was circulated on social media.
A legal practitioner, Ekigbo Sampson Nnamdi, confirmed the unfortunate on Facebook on December 14.
“The missing child was found dead. The world we live in is evil. Thanks to those who showed concern.” he wrote.
