Bullied Quaden Bayles’ family reject the $700k raised from a fundraiser set up by US comedian for a trip to Disneyland

Bullied 9 year old Quaden Bayles’ family have denied the 700,000 US Dollar raised from a fundraiser set up by American actor and comedian Brad Williams and want the money to be donated to charity instead.

Recall that an online fundraiser, ‘Let’s send a wonderful kid to Disneyland’, was set up last week by comedian Brad Williams, who was also born with dwarfism after the boy’s mum shared a heartbreaking video of him crying and threatening to commit suicide after he was bullied at school.

Quaden Bayle who is from Austrialia, became a global sensation after the video went viral and received an outpouring of love with more than 20,000 donors from across the world donating $723,000 to give the 9-year-old boy’s family the special treat.

However, Bayles’ family have rejected the trip, stating that the money should be donated to charity to help combat bullying and suicide.

Speaking to NITV News, Quaden’s aunt Mundanara said;

‘What kid wouldn’t want to go to Disneyland, especially if you have lived Quaden’s life’

‘But my sister said “you know what, let’s get back to the real issue”. This little fella has been bullied. How many suicides, black or white, in our society have happened due to bullying.

‘We want the money to go to community organisations that really need it. They know what the money should be spent on.

‘So as much as we want to go to Disneyland, I think our community would far off benefit from that.’
