Coronavirus: Mongolian president placed under quarantine after returning from China

The president of Mongolia, Khaltmaagiin Battulga and other Mongolian government officials have been placed under a 14-day quarantine after returning home from their visit to China, where the deadly coronavirus(COVID-19) broke out from.

According to reports, president Battulga along with other government officials, including Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar Damdin, visited China to meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang on Thursday February 27, 2020.

At the meeting, the Mongolian president announced a donation of 30,000 sheep to China as they discussed joint efforts to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus. 

It was gathered that, immediately they arrived back in Mongolia, the president alongside with other government officials were placed on quarantine as a precautionary measure.
