Football legend Luis Figo accused of copying Cristiano Ronaldo’s tribute to Kobe Bryant word for word

Portuguese legendary footballer, Luis Figo has been dragged on Twitter for copying and pasting Cristiano Ronaldo’s heartfelt tribute to late Basketball legend Kobe Bryant after his tragic death in helicopter crash.

Football fans on Twitter were quick to noticed the similarity between the two posts of the football legends as it appeared word-for-word on Figo’s Twitter page after his fellow Portuguese footballer posted the same exact words. 

Christiano Ronaldo was the first to tweet his message on Sunday afternoon which featured an image of Kobe Bryant holding a basketball to his head. 

The Juventus striker wrote: 

‘So sad to hear the heartbreaking news of the deaths of Kobe and his daughter Gianna. Kobe was a true legend and inspiration to so many. Sending my condolences to his famly and friends and the families of all who lost their lives in the crash. RIP Legend.’

About 3 hours after, Real Madrid star, Figo followed up with the same message along with a picture of himself posing with Bryant. 

‘So sad to hear the heartbreaking news of the deaths of Kobe and his daughter Gianna. Kobe was a true legend and inspiration to so many. Sending my condolences to his family and friends and the families of all who lost their lives in the crash. RIP Legend, ‘he also wrote. 

Following the posts, Twitter users are blasting Figo for copying and pasting the same message to his social media pages. 

41-year-old Basketball superstar Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, along with 7 others died on Sunday morning January 26th after the private helicopter they were traveling in crashed in the hills of Calabasas, California.
