Half-naked Nigerian man arrested in Cambodia for public disturbance, illegal stay

The Cambodian Department of Investigation and Procedure of Phnom Penh Immigration Department on Thursday, January 23, 2020, received a Nigerian man known as Lucius Okafor from Khan Meanchey police post.

According to reports, the 21-year-old Nigerian national was apprehended by police Khan Meanchey for disturbing residents, and after questioning, it was discovered that he had no passport or visa.

It was learnt that the Nigerian man also had no clothes on at the time of his arrest. Hence, the public disturbance charge.

It was also discovered that he has been living in Cambodia for 10-months since he arrived through Ban Laem border into Battambang from Thailand, but he has no current visa extension.

The troubled Nigerian man has been sent to the General Department of Immigration by the police to be processed and deported.
