Iranian General’s killing: Shiites members protest in Abuja, burn US flag (photos)

Following the recent US-Iran tensions, members of the proscribed Islamic Movement of Nigeria popularly known as Shiites, today January 6th took to the streets of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja to protest the killing of Iranian top military commander, General Qasem Soleimani, by a US airstrike on Friday January 3, 2020.

The protest of Shiite members also seized the opportunity to demand for the release of their leader, Sheikh Ibraheem El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenat who are currently in detention.

The protesters where heard chanting, “Death To America.” while also burning of a US flag.
