Emeka Emmanuel popularly known as wiper, parades himself as a labourer willing to take up a job on any construction site in Abuja.
He appeared cool, calm and collected enough to be awarded contracts in different parts of the Federal Capital Territory.
However, his shady side was exposed recently by men of the Nigerian police force, for stealing coils of electric wires worth N10 million.
He was arrested with five other accomplices namely, Chidi Offor, Kalu Chukwu, Ikechukwu Udeji, Chijioke Igwe and Jabi James who are all artisans.
The inspector general of police intelligence response team, declared him and his co-horts wanted and lunched a manhunt for them, after a property owner at Guzape, reported to the police that the wires he kept at his site were stolen.
In the course of police investigation, police detectives traced the theft to Emeka Emmanuel and his gang. The gang’s specialty is burgling construction sites in Abuja and it’s environs.
They operate at night, carting away cables in a truck and sell them to waiting buyers at Jabi market in Abuja.
