Model goes completely blind after getting her eyeballs dyed black (Photos)

A Polish model identified as Aleksandra Sadowska has completely gone blind in one eye and rapidly losing sight in the other after she went to a tattoo artist to dye her eyeballs black.

According to reports, the 25-year-old model from the city of Wroclaw in the west of Poland went to the tattoo artist to dye her eyeballs black so that she can look like polish rapper Popek, who also had his eyes dyed black.

It was gathered that, after the procedure, Aleksandra began complaining of pains in her eyes and the tattooist told her there was no cause for alarm, as it was normal and then instructed her to take painkillers.

Sadly after she lost complete sight in her right eye, she was rushed to the hospital where doctors told her that the damage was severe and irreparable and that she would soon lose sight in her left eye too.

The tattoo artist, identified as Piotr A, has reportedly been arrested and he is now facing 3 years in prison for unintentionally severely disabling the lady. He has pleaded not guilty.

After subsequent investigation where carried out by the police, it was discovered that the tattoo artist had made serious mistakes in the process, including using body ink used for tattooing skin, which should not come into contact with the eye.

The woman’s lawyers told local media:

‘There is clear evidence that the tattoo artist did not know how to perform such a delicate procedure. And yet he decided to perform it which led to this tragedy.’

Aleksandra also said:

‘Unfortunately, for now doctors do not give me much optimism for improvement. The damage is too deep and extensive. I’m afraid I will be completely blind.’

She added:

‘I will not lock myself in the basement and get depressed. I have sadness behind me, but I live on.’

The court case is expected to start soon.
