Nigerian football federation unveils new kit for National Football teams (Photos)

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has officially unveiled Nigeria’s 2020-22 Nike kits. The National Football governing body unveiled some pieces of the outstanding Nigeria 2020-2022 collection early Monday, September 21, 2020. 

The design was inspired by Onaism, a traditional artistic movement in Nigeria. 

 The Nike Nigeria 2020 away jersey has features of an intriguing feather graphic detail on the cuffs, collar, and lateral stripes, which are zig-zag shaped.

The design looks very similar to the new England shirt, the Nike logo and federation badge sit centrally on the chest of Nigeria’s new 2020 home shirt. ‘Naija’ is written on the inside neck as well as the back of the socks.

The new home football shirt boasts an even bolder design than its former one as it features a print that can also be seen on the poncho from the collection.

The new range of jerseys, shots, socks, training gear, boots and balls supplied by American sports kit manufacturers, Nike are billed to be launched by the men’s team, Super Eagles on October 9, when they face Cote d’Ivoire during an international friendly in Austria.

This pattern that covers almost the entirety of the new Nigeria 2020 home shirt was hand-drawn and derives from traditional Nigerian Agbada robes.

Various retailers have also confirmed that the Nigeria 2020 collection will finally hit stores shortly.
