Kenneth Petty, Nikki Minaj’s husband, have been arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.
He turned himself in on Wednesday, after he was indicted for failing to register as a sex offender, and he is being detained in a Federal custody.
The 41 – year Petty was convicted for first degree attempted rape in New York, 25 years ago and served a 4 year jail term for the offence.
Nikki’s husband Kenneth, also pleaded guilty to first degree manslaughter in the 2002 Lamont Robinson’s fatal shooting, and was sentenced to 10- years in prison, but was released in 2013 after serving 7- years.
Kenneth who was mandated by law to register as a sex offender, ignored the order by failing to register when he moved to California in 2019.
Kenneth if convicted, will face charges for failure to register and may likely be sentenced to 10- years in prison.
