Police arrest pastor for selling missing student’s phone(photo)

Ejiro Ologonla, a 45- year- old pastor has been arrested by the Lagos State police command over the disappearance of Olatunfe Oluwafemi, who got missing in February.

Oluwafemi who resides in Alapere, was sent to Ilupeju on an errand in February and has not returned since then.

The missing person’s itel phone was analysed electronically by the police forensic experts, which led to the arrest of Monsurat Gbadegeshin, the current user of the phone.

Monsurat, who claimed her fiance, Abiodun Abiola, gave her the phone. When Abiodun was interragoted, he claimed one Olurotimi sold the phone to him.

Olurotimi, was equally interrogated and he disclosed he bought the phone from pastor Ejiro Ologonla.

Pastor Ejiro during interrogation, revealed he was at Oniru beach for spiritual purification, when he met the missing person Olatunfe Oluwafemi.

He further revealed that Oluwafemi, who appeared visibly drunk, pulled his clothes, shoes, dropped his phone and jumped into the sea.

He claimed he picked the victims clothes, shoes, and phone and sold the phone to Olurotimi for N1,500.

DSP Bala Elkana, police spokesman, disclosed that the victim’s shoes and clothes was found in pastor Ejiro’s house.
