Parents of the murdered Remo Stars defender, Tiamiyu Kazeem have demanded for the killing of the SARS officials involved in the death of their son.
Kazeem, popularly known as ‘Kaka’ by locals was the assistant captain of the Nigerian National League side. He was allegedly pushed off a moving vehicle by the officials along Sagamu-Abeokuta Expressway before being hit by an onrushing car.
The footballer was confirmed dead in the hospital, leading to protests by women and youths of Sagamu town.
Fasasi Tiamiyu, Kaka’s father in an interview with our correspondent said he wants the SARS officials to be killed too. He said his son promised a lot and was a young man who loved to be good to people.
“I want justice to be done. All I want is justice for my murdered son,” he said.
“My recommendation is that they should be killed because they committed murder against my son. They did not find anything to prove that he was a criminal before he was killed. They too should be killed because they cut short the life of my child.
“He was a blessing to our family. He was very generous; if you went to him for any assistance, no matter how small it was, he would assist you.”
Kaka’s mother in her submission said she wants the officials to be killed, as she also called on the Ogun State government to respect him by naming a stadium after him.
“What I want from government is for them to look at one stadium in the state and name it after my son so that his name will remain in history. My son did not have any other job apart from football and his life was cut short. I want the governor to help me fulfill this dream.
“I want justice for my son. I don’t just want them to remand or dismiss those involved in his death, I want them to be killed. They should also face the same judgment they gave to my child. If the government does not ensure those culprits are brought to book, there may be problems,” she vowed.
