Sowore invites singer Burna Boy to join October 1st protest

Sahara Reporters publisher and convener of the #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, has invited Nigerian Grammy Award nominee, Burna Boy to join him in his protest scheduled for October 1st.

In the post via his verified Twitter account, Sowore noted that Burna Boy is often compared to the late legendary afro-beat musician, Fela Anikulapo Kuti.

The tweet reads :

“Hello @burnaboy, everywhere I turn people describe you as a revolutionary musician, the foreign media even celebrate you, compare you to Fela Kuti, but I am yet to see you lead anyone to a police station carrying a coffin for head of state! Join #Oct1stProtest #RevolutionNow,”

Sowore had vowed to go on with a protest on Nigeria’s 60th Independence Day anniversary.
