Three burnt to death, houses and cars destroyed in Abule Egba pipeline explosion (photo/video)

At least 3 persons including a boy have been burnt to death in the pipeline explosion that erupted in the Abule Egba area of Lagos state.

It was learnt that the explosion was due to the activities of vandals who reportedly ruptured the pipeline in a bid to steal fuel.

Three persons lost their lives to the fire outbreak. It was gathered that two of the victims, male drivers, were said to have just returned from a trip and were sleeping inside their trailers when the incident occurred.

According to reports, the deceased boy among them was sleeping inside a nearby shop with his parents when the fire started. He ran for his life after noticing what was happening but sadly, he didn’t make it out alive.

All the three corpses were evacuated into a Lagos State Emergency Health Service pick-up van to be deposited at the morgue.

Not more than 10 houses were burnt down alongside the pipeline.
