Vehicles with unauthorized covered plates, tinted glass, revolving light and siren have been outrightly banned in Ekiti state, by the Ekiti state police command.

The command claimed the ban was necessary, in order to reduce criminal activities and ensure the maximum protection of lives and property of the good people of Ekiti State, according to a statement signed by the Ekiti state police public relation officer, Sunday Abutu.

The state commissioner of police, Amba Asuquo, appealed to law abiding citizens of the state to adhere strictly to the new rule.

And also stated that anyone found guilty of violating the laws guiding the use of the prohibited vehicles will be arrested to face the full wrath of the law.
