Videos show minutes after Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crashed; total of 9 people died in the crash

Videos have emerged online showing the moment after basketball legend Kobe Bryant’s helicopter crashed.

The 41-year-old NBA retired player, alongside his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and 7 others were all killed in a helicopter crash on a remote, steep hillside in Southern California, USA, on Sunday January 26th.

The news of Bryant’s death sent shock-waves around the world as a lot celebrities took to social media to pay tribute to him.

According to reports, the chopper went down in Calabasas, which is about 30 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, while it was heading to Bryant’s Mamba Academy in Thousand Oaks for basketball practice.

A witness told RMG News that he heard some noise “like a helicopter was struggling” and the “engine was not really running fast.”

“Was very low…. I pick up a call, I spoke to my friend, I heard some explosion. Then smoke come out, cars back and forth here,” the witness explained.

Daryl Osby, the Los Angeles County Fire Chief revealed that firefighters hiked in with medical equipment and hoses, and medical personnel rappelled to the site from a helicopter but no survivors were found.

It was gathered that, a total of nine people died following the fatal helicopter crash. Among those who lost their lives was a baseball coach at Orange County College identified as John Altobelli, his wife Keri and their daughter Alyssa. Girls basketball coach Christina Mauser was also killed in the crash

Bryant and his daughter Gianna are survived by his wife Vanessa and their 3 other daughters Capri, Bianca and Natalia.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation and witnesses revealed that they heard the helicopter engine ‘sputtering’
