Alhaja Ashata Onikoyi-Laguda, the world’s most oldest individual living with sickle cell, is dead. She passed away yesterday, Saturday, in Lagos . She was 94 years old.

A source from the Onikoyi imperial family affirmed the passing of the incredible lady, who has become an example of science miracle to the world unveiled that her last moments on earth were pleasurably spent in the mindful company of her close family.

Her remains has been covered as per Islamic customs today, Sunday, March 1, 2020, at Atan Burial ground, Lagos.

Sickle cell disorder (SCD) is an acquired strange hemoglobin (blood) malady that causes serious agonies, organ harm and early passing. Mama Onikoyi-Laguda was among the uncommon patients that lived with sickle cell issue.
